John: (602) 810-8002
Rebekah: (480) 698-5090
Having grown up, attended prep school and raised his own family in the highly affluent Metro New York City suburb of Fairfield County, CT (Greenwich/Stamford and Westport), John lived, worked and socialized with some of the most successful and interesting people in America. His father was famous in the world of Dance (recipient of the Dance Magazine Award and was knighted by the French Government), and his mother was Senior VP/Creative Chief of some of the country’s largest advertising agencies. After successful careers of his own in Manhattan as a high-level marketing, advertising and video consultant to the Fortune 500 (campaigns that earned him 24 “ADDY” Awards from the American Advertising Federation, 12 Business Marketing Association Awards, and the International Film and Television Society’s “Best Video of the Year”) and also as an award-winning television and video producer and writer (music videos for such artists as Cyndi Lauper, Jackson Browne, Huey Lewis and The News, Diana Krall; TV shows and national TV commercials), John entered the prestigious and demanding New York City real estate market at the headquarters office of Douglas Elliman, then the largest residential real estate firm in the city. He was the newest agent ever to be named to Douglas Elliman’s Broker-Specialist program and sold 11 properties in his first year alone. Now at Russ Lyons Sotheby’s International Realty, John created an innovative new developer services partnership program that is unique to the Arizona real estate market. His efforts here are focused on sales of individual luxury properties and on helping developers/builders brand, market and sell new high-end projects. Both sellers and buyers will appreciate and benefit from his deep understanding of serving the needs and tastes of the affluent market. John speaks French and makes his best effort to play golf at his Club nearly every week.
Rebekah has always been a world-class communicator, whether it has been as an educator, a trainer, delivering exceptional client experience or her role as a business leader. Born in Houston, worked in Dallas, 20 years in Chicago and now in Phoenix Metro, she has always succeeded in the most demanding and sophisticated markets. In Chicago she began her career in the luxury beauty space for Nordstrom, opening up the legendary flagship store on Michigan Avenue, running top performing events and working directly with creators such as Bobbi Brown, Anastasia Soare, Trish McEvoy and Laura Mercier. JCPenney then hired her to help launch the Sephora “store-within-a-store” concept successfully in 231 stores, all of which exceeded sales quota. Her forte’ is as a connector, hiring 100+ professionals in one year across the country and was thus recognized as a Talent Management Superstar as well as receiving the Sephora Values Award. Her next challenge was joining Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty (the undisputed leader in marketing luxury residential properties) as a Real Estate Broker, focusing on the affluent and prestigious Chicago North Shore (particularly Northside of the city to Winnetka). She closed two deals in the first few months and was subsequently honored as a Rising Star by North Shore Real Producers Magazine. Here she is actively involved in real estate marketing and in the Russ Lyon Foundation, which supports multiple worthy charities. Rebekah’s contacts (through her development of Sotheby’s relationships in the U.S., Canada and globally), her first-hand experience with affluent buyers from the Midwest (who are emigrating to Arizona in droves) and her exemplary skills in sales, marketing and aesthetics have added a dimension to the Metropolitan Group that both sellers and buyers here will appreciate. She is a novice pickle ball player, passionate about travel and new experiences, spending time with loved ones and enjoying hiking in the beautiful state of Arizona.
